Dealing with Death

How each of us reacts and copes with death will depend on many factors, including what our personal beliefs are about death and dying, cause and timing of the death, how close we were with the person and the personal stressors we may be enduring at the time.

How you react to a loss may not be how someone else reacts, so it’s important to remain sympathetic and non-judgmental about how you grieve compared to others. Many people worry if they are grieving in the “right way” and wonder if the feelings they have are normal. All reactions are normal for the person who is experiencing the loss and we need to give each person time to grieve their own way.
